Every once in a while, the fraught procrastination that leads me to descend through the man-hole of the internet is redeemed by a beautiful discovery. About a year ago, on one such escapade, I found my glaring glass computer screen transformed into caressing blues and nubbly, soft, papery whites. I still don’t really know what led me to find Philly artist Tamsen Wojtanowski’s work, but even after using her image “#33_from the series_Lost/Found” as my browser homepage for a year I still was still happy to see it; as I told her when I reached out about using the image as CD art, it always causes me to pause for a moment, serving as a reminder to me that what I’m really trying to do is make art (not get lost on the internet!). So here it is, now – the Paper Birds album cover. Thanks, Tamsen! Check her out: http://tamsenwj.com/home.html

rallidae “paper birds” EP package

This post is part of a non-hierarchical 10-day countdown to the launch of the EP, and to the first date of our tour, expressing my immeasurable gratitude to the many folk who’ve contributed directly to realization of the music that’s happening on Paper Birds and/or to the the physical object that is the CD itself. The names are weblinks, so go see/hear what these folks are doing out there in the wide world web.
