ARTISTS, DANCERS, POETS, MUSICIANS… tell me what you want to present at Brackish!
email “angela morris music [at] gmail” with a couple links to relevant work, the length of time you’ll perform for (if it’s a temporal art form), and a couple sentences about your idea.
~ feel free to propose something of your own, a whole night of stuff, or suggest someone else’s something.
~ keep in mind: overall, smaller & quieter works better than bigger & louder; the event is exactly 2 hrs long including changeovers; the only gear onsite is a projector and a small PA. it’s always a Thursday eve.
::BRACKISH PERFORMER INFO::
BACKLINE
There is a small PA and mixer. Lemme know if you plan to use it so we make sure there’s everything needed.
PROJECTOR
Has HDMI and mini-display/thunderbolt connections, as well as a scary PC one.
DRINKS
Curator will buy drinks to sell to the audience. Performers are welcome to a drink or two on the house. 100% drink proceeds go to performers.
MONEY
100% goes to the performers/artists: cover is by donation (suggested $10-20) + profits from selling drinks.
SPACE
There is a long expanse of brick wall with hooks already installed for wall-hanging art.
Here’s more info about the space, St. Lydia’s (a wonderful LGBTQ+ friendly & social-justice-oriented church): http://stlydias.org
